golfb4cruzing Posted April 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2016 Our luggage we want to carryon measures 25X16X10. Is this going to be a problem with Carnival? Thanks
grillinchillin Posted April 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2016 (edited) It may not fit through a metal detector. Remember, your room may not be ready and you have to lug it around until your room is ready. It's usually an issue with airlines, as you cannot carty it on an airplane and you may have to pay a fee if it is over 50lbs. hftmrock Posted April 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2016 Our luggage we want to carryon measures 25X16X10. Is this going to be a problem with Carnival? Thanks For those guests who wish to carry on their luggage, it must fit through the security screening machine; when laying flat, it should not exceed 16 inches high x 24 inches wide (40.64cm x 60.96cm); the length of the bag is not a factor. Anything larger, must be checked-in with a curbside porter. looks like you should be ok
stargate fan Posted April 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2016 Our luggage we want to carryon measures 25X16X10. Is this going to be a problem with Carnival? Thanks If your luggage fits through an xray scanner, then it will not be a problem with Carnival. Remember you'll have to schlep it around until cabins open at 1:30, unless you are Diamond, Platinum, or purchased FTTF.
golfb4cruzing Posted April 16, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted April 16, 2016 Thanks for the answer. The luggage should be fine and we have FTTF so we'll go straight to the cabin.

grillinchillin Posted April 16, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 16, 2016 That may be too big. A 25 is not a carry on. "It may be too big." The OP is looking for some facts, not your opinion. If he/she can carry it on the ship and it fits in the metal detector, then it qualified.
golfb4cruzing Posted April 16, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted April 16, 2016 Thanks everyone. Doesn't look that large. Could be a 24 and just looked at measuring tape at different angle. Guy thing. Anyways it's got plenty of wheels so it's more a pullalong than carryon.

Since the length is not a factor you can throw out the 25 in measurement. Then your suitcase is 16 x 10. Which is well under the 16 x 24 in maximum. simplelife Posted April 16, 2016 #10 Share Posted April 16, 2016 No problem -just put it though the scanner with the 16 or 10 as the width -the 25 length will not be a problem.
cruisinmeme Posted April 17, 2016 #11 Share Posted April 17, 2016 Even before we were platinum we dropped our luggage off in our cabin. Always put any valuables in a back pack and kept it with us. A lot of people wouldn't dream of carry on their luggage on or off the ship but we started doing it when I stopped hauling 5 pieces of luggage. dmdiver Posted April 17, 2016 #12 Share Posted April 17, 2016 You'll be fine - as others stated, length will not matter. We carry our luggage on all the time and our suitcases are not airline carry-on size.
