debandbruce Posted April 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2016 one of the main reasons we love Celebrity. So nice to walk in the ship and not smell cigarette smoke. Celebrity is the only cruise line that we actually go to the casino, that's always a benefit for them, we aren't very lucky but we like to try. CruisersTimesThree Posted April 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2016 One of the reasons that Celebrity is pretty much the only line we'll sail with. We enjoy a couple of hours each evening in the casino before bed and are able to do this on Celebrity. Couldn't sit longer then 20 mins in the casino on an RCCL cruise a few years back. pete_coach Posted April 16, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 16, 2016 No smoking in any indoor area on Celebrity ships. From Celebrity FAQ's Q. What is the onboard smoking policy? A. For your comfort and enjoyment, our ships are designated as non-smoking; however, we recognize that some of our guests smoke. Therefore, cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the ship. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, casino, theater, lounge, hallway, elevator, or corridor. This policy includes smoking-like products such as electronic cigarettes. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom, nor on any stateroom veranda. If you are in violation of this policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to your SeaPass® account and you may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of the Guest Conduct Policy. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard. Additionally, there is a non-smoking policy on all components of the land tour portion of all Celebrity Cruises Cruisetour products. We appreciate your understanding and adherence. So, we were on Reflection in Feb and there was a smoking area on the Sunset Bar area (starboard side if I remember), as well as on the port side of the Mast Bar and there were ashtrays on the starboard side just before walking into the Solarium pool area. Northern Aurora Posted April 16, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 16, 2016 The casinos on all Celebrity ships became non-smoking in 2008. We were on two cruises on the now departed Mercury that year. During the spring cruise smoking was allowed on one side of the casino, but by November the casino was a non-smoking venue.
sound_guy0918 Posted April 18, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 18, 2016 What a terrific surprise to discover that the Casino on the Summit was non-smoking. We could actually enjoy the bar there.
Rare ReneeFLL Posted April 18, 2016 #10 Share Posted April 18, 2016 On RC we won't even go near the casinos. The smoke is just horrible. Being in there for 5 minutes make your clothes reek.
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted April 18, 2016 #11 Share Posted April 18, 2016 We love Celebrity's non-smoking casinos and we don't even gamble! We often use the casino for a short cut on Solstice Class ships especially when there is a big crowd outside the shops. We can cut right past all that activity and not breath any smoke in the process. Just try that on Royal Caribbean ships. No way.
