Nator72 Posted April 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2016 I was just watching a vlog from the Escape and they said that you need photo ID if you are getting off the ship in Nassau (Miami-St. Thomas-Tortola-Nassau-Miami). Can anyone who has been on that sailing confirm that? Thank you.
Leavethekidswithmom Posted April 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2016 A lot of ports require your key card and photo ID to re-enter the secured port area.

roger001 Posted April 20, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2016 Drivers license or passport which may or may not be checked. Frequently only your cabin key card is all that is checked. But you never know.
LrgPizza Posted April 20, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2016 To even enter the port area where all the ships are at Nassau, you must show photo ID. There is often a long line if lots of ships are in port, so be prepared. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
darrengs Posted April 20, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2016 Returning to the port required us to have both our ID and key card. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
scrappinannie Posted April 21, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2016 Yes, this is correct. You will need a photo id and your guest key card to re-board the ship in all ports. We were on the Escape last week with your same itinerary and we had to show ids AND keycards upon rentry. Kids (under 16) only needed keycards. LrgPizza Posted April 21, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 21, 2016 (edited) You will show it again at the ship to re-board, but the first time you show it is to enter the port area itself. All passengers from all ships are stopped there to show photo ID and ship cards. Edited April 21, 2016 by LrgPizza
OCruisers Posted April 21, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 21, 2016 (edited) Just take your cruise card and your drivers license (to use as your photo ID) and you'll be fine. As noted by another, children under 16 don't need their photo ID. Edited April 21, 2016 by OCruisers
