Just got a Photo Jacket on Fleabay

I was just browsing ebay last week looking for some used lens wraps and ran across this Domke jacket for $59.00 shipping incl. I bought it. I mention this here as they have a lot of great looking used photo vests for cheap prices.

 

I'm taking this with me on my upcoming AK cruise.

 

 

The sleeves zipoff to make it a vest. FWIW I own a vest and for warm climates and I'd use the vest but in AK I'm liking this addition.

 

Now the big question what do I take out of my maxed out bag to fit it in...:D

 

One final note: Domke no longer makes vest or jackets. You have to find NOS or used ones. Other companies do still make photo vests.

Domke makes good gear....but as lenses and bodies got bigger I found that vests and jackets no longer worked for me.... Maybe you can just wear the jacket on your flight?

I actually have a Domke vest somewhere. I abandned it for the reason mentioned above but after switching to the mirrorless equipment, it starts to make sense again.

 

It always felt like I should be carrying a .600 Nitro Express and scanning the horizon for game...

It's going to be used to hold a flash unit w/external bracket, off camera cord and a beamer. A couple of filters and some extra batteries.

 

Might throw a small bottle of water in it...
