Shows and dinner; how much time to allow

I'm currently scheduling my dinner (my time dining) times and shows. How much time do you recommend to allow between meal time start and show time starts?

Two hours will give you ample 'spare' time. You can comfortably eat in the MDR in an hour or less, though many tables take longer due to engaging conversations.

The cruise planner is going to force you to leave a minimum of 2 hours for dining. You can easily finish dinner in less than that. We booked our shows first and then tried to see if we had the required time for a MTD reservation. On the nights that didn't work, we do not have a MTD reservation made and are just going to go at the time we wanted and hope we get in. If we can't, we will go elsewhere.

Oh good. So far I have between 2.5 and 3 hours between dinner and shows. I was worried that may be too tight and we'd end up with the worse seats in every show.
