Kynance103 Posted April 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2016 We are cruising in two weeks time with our 3 year old. We will be taking some of her snacks on board, biscuits, sweats, bottled water and cordial. Is it best to pack these items in hand luggage or in the main cases? Also would we be allowed to bring a small hand streamer on board for our clothes? Thanks in advance
Clarea Posted April 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2016 The hand steamer is on the prohibited list.
cb at sea Posted April 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2016 I would pack snacks and steamer in checked bags...if it's a plastic steamer, it will go right thru...put a couple wire coat hangers in there to scramble their x-ray view...they won't worry about it.... Water (I don't know what cordial is!) should be in checked bags.
Kynance103 Posted April 30, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Cordial is pop that is diluted by water. So water not in hand luggage?
Clarea Posted April 30, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Cordial is pop that is diluted by water. So water not in hand luggage? I've had the best luck with bottled water in checked bags.
Kynance103 Posted May 1, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted May 1, 2016 I know this is a dumb question but can you drink the water from the taps on board?
Biker19 Posted May 1, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 1, 2016 Yes.
Clarea Posted May 1, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 1, 2016 I know this is a dumb question but can you drink the water from the taps on board? Yes, however some report ankle swelling after a few days of drinking ship's water.
EGG Posted May 1, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 1, 2016 I would skip the steamer. You have enough to carry. Try not to take clothes that wrinkle badly. If you are taking snacks, make sure you have some that are individually wrapped so you can take them off the ship in port.
