We have been looking at the 10 day round trip cruise form Ft Lauderdale through the Panama Canal on either the Coral Princess or Island Princess. While the mini-suites are available it appears that all the other suites are completely booked. Does anybody know the reason for this?

Because people opened up their wallets and booked them? There are only 16 or so on Coral...if they get booked, they get booked.

If you look at the Island and Coral Princess out of Ft Lauderdale ( round trip) to the Panama Canal, all the suites ( except the mini- suites) are booked.

The sailing on the Coral Princess, March 18, 2017 there are currently four suites available: D701, D703, D630, D421.

D631 is not as we have it booked.
