FLUFFLULA Posted May 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2016 I saw the article on CC that said VOOM is being made available on all RCI ships. The article said the price will be 12.99/day for VOOM (not including STREAM). Is is possible to have VOOM on certain days but not every day during the cruise, or is it really a $91 package (weekly) charge? Thanks in advance any information you may have. You can pick and choose days, but the per day cost will be higher.

The reported charge if you buy only one day is $20, but could be even higher. The pre-cruise price is $10/day (or just under $70). The $91 is if you buy it on-board. BTW, not all ships have the high speed VOOM, despite the announcement from RCI. Edited May 6, 2016 by Biker19

CCruiser1234 Posted May 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Ovation prices. Sent from my iPhone 6s using Tapatalk Hi... Thanks for posting that pic of Internet pricing. The mention of coupon $70ish in ur example... Is that with use of a Crown & Anchor coupon from the cabin, or something else precruise? Thanks... Trying to clarify that, as Diamond, if we should prepay or wait until boarding. ~Bob
Spa girl nana Posted May 8, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 8, 2016 I had a bit of casino money on my last cruise, so did the internet for 1 day. It was good, but in the end I was glad I only did it for one day. I'm too (way too) addicted to being on line and checking this, then checking that. I'm a bit torn on what to do on my upcoming cruise. If I get it, I know I'll be tempted to sent pictures back to the family, but really don't want to share pictures until I get back home and I know I'll be on the computer or tablet way too much. Anyone know if the internet on the ship(s) are considered secure, for business/financial searching? Last trip I wanted so badly to keep check on my credit card account, but didn't until I got back home because I was afraid the ship & hotels might not be secure. SandiNapa Posted May 8, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 8, 2016 What about live streaming? My granddaughter will be participating in an event that will live streamed. I'd love to watch in real time. Are their data limitations that would prevent me from doing so?

Biker19 Posted May 8, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Thanks... Trying to clarify that, as Diamond, if we should prepay or wait until boarding. The break even point for SURF is a 7 day cruise - anything longer buy pre-cruise, anything shorter buy on board and use your D coupon. For STREAM the break even point should be 4 days ($5/day discount when buy pre-cruise).
jt58203 Posted May 15, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 15, 2016 If I were to purchase a Voom Package at 10 pm on a Sunday night, do I only get internet for the 2 remaining hours on Sunday? Or would I get 24 hours worth and get it until 10 pm Monday night?

Clarea Posted May 15, 2016 #14 Share Posted May 15, 2016 So had do you get those coupons? The coupons are given automatically (electronically) to Crown & Anchor members once they are onboard.
