Who is the artist that does the glass chandeliers?

I can't be 100% positive, but I do not believe that there are any Chihuly chandeliers on any RC ship.

I agree. The closest to a ship I've seen them is in the Atlantis casino.

I believe the Disney Wonder still has a Chihuly in the atrium...the Magic used to have one before its last dry dock.

I've been seeing more and more glass done in Chihuly's style, but nothing that knocks your socks off like his.

I believe the Disney Wonder still has a Chihuly in the atrium...the Magic used to have one before its last dry dock.

 

Disney Dream also has a Chihuly - it's gorgeous!

 

I could be wrong, but seems like I heard some of Royal's crystal chandeliers in MDRs were Waterford crystal??

The chandeliers on the Dream and Fantasy are stunning, but aren't by Chihuly.

 

BTW - he's an interesting fellow. I used to work at an art studio and he came to see our glassworks. Coworkers drove him around and had interesting tales.

There is Chihuly on some NCL ships. He is such an amazing artist.

If anyone is cruising out of Tampa and comes to town early or stays after the cruise, there is a Chihuly Museum in St Petersburg that is easy to combine with a trip to the Dali Museum in St Petersburg.

For those cruising from the Pacific Northwest, including Seattle.....Tacoma features an amazing array of Chihuly glass. Visit the Museum of Glass, complete with "hot shop" resident artists and a nice collection of Chihuly. Also consider the Tacoma Art Museum, with several themed rooms of Chihuly glass. These two museums are within easy walking distance of each other and are suitable for a nice afternoon away from Seattle. I particularly enjoy the "walk of glass" which is an outdoor skybridge lined with smaller Chihuly pieces. BTW, the Tacoma Art Museum has a very nice café - good for a coffee or lunch.
