pablo222 Posted May 8, 2016 #26 Share Posted May 8, 2016 No problem with Firefox and Princess for me. Maybe the problem is that you should ... get a Mac! I recall one update that princess did that didn't work with any apple gear. With princess IT, everyone gets a chance.

Dreamer115 Posted May 8, 2016 #28 Share Posted May 8, 2016 I'm also having trouble and am leaving on my cruise in less than 48 hours. Glad I have everything printed out already.
DougandEric Posted May 8, 2016 #29 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Fix: Princess now works on my Firefox. I turned off Hardware Acceleration. Go to Menu / Options / Advanced / UnCheck "Use Hardware Acceleration" Restart Firefox. Good luck. I hope it works for you, too. Hopefully Princess and/or Mozilla will change whatever caused the conflict. It worked for me also. I'd updated all my plugin's which didn't help. It worked if I started in safe mode which indicates the issue is with at least one of the plugins or settings.

Thrak Posted May 9, 2016 #34 Share Posted May 9, 2016 No problem with Firefox and Princess for me. Maybe the problem is that you should ... get a Mac! Had to laugh. When I research hardware on Amazon the most common cause of 1 star reviews is "didn't work with my Mac". :)

5225db Posted May 9, 2016 #36 Share Posted May 9, 2016 Using Firefox 46.0.1 on my Windows 10 PC - trying to access any Princess website locks up the computer. Several suggestions for fixing on Mozilla Support website - but this is the one that worked for me! 1. Close Firefox 2. Hold down the "shift" key and double click on the Firefox desktop icon. a. This will allow you to open Firefox in the "Safe Mode" 3. Select "Open in Safe Mode" (NOT REFRESH) (note: This has nothing to do with opening Windows in safe mode - only opens Firefox in safe mode.) 4. See if you can now get into any Princess website -- in the dialog box enter: www.princess.com 5. If you can get into the Princess website without your computer locking up, then: close Firefox and proceed with "FIX STEPS" 6-11. FIX STEPS: 6. Open Firefox normally (without holding down the shift key) 7. In the top left corner select "Tools" then "Options" 8. Click on the "Advanced" box 9. UNCHECK the box "Use Hardware Acceleration when available" 10. Close Firefox 11. Open Firefox in the normal mode and try opening any Princess website. This worked for me with no other issues for other websites. Hope it works for you!
JohnS43 Posted May 11, 2016 #37 Share Posted May 11, 2016 The "hardware acceleration" fix didn't work for me. Still freezing up using Firefox in Windows 10. Works fine in Microsoft Edge.
Tiger fan 707 Posted May 11, 2016 #38 Share Posted May 11, 2016 Neither myself nor my wife can access the Princess website using Firefox. We were able to several days ago, but now all of a sudden we can't. (When we try it just "hangs".) So, we made sure everything was up to date, and it was, so we're using Chrome when we want to go to the Princess site. We were relieved to see others were having the same issue. Hmmmm, wonder what's going on?

I, for one, refuse to reprogram (or update) my computer because a company I deal with hasn't two cents worth of brains to fix their computer program when they update it to reach their customers. Rare nbsjcruiser Posted May 12, 2016 #40 Share Posted May 12, 2016 Any experiencing a problem when accessing Princess.com using Firefox web browser? Mine locks up on both PCs running MS Windows 10. The web site connects fine using MS Edge web browser. Thank you. Windows might be the issue :)
