Galleon1234 Posted May 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2016 We have never been on the ship and just wondering if that would be a loud place? Thanks for any info:)!
WisconsinFan Posted May 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2016 Liberty no longer has the Sphinx, it is now home to Sabor.
Galleon1234 Posted May 11, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted May 11, 2016 What is the Sabor? Would that be loud to be in a cabin over that?

JimAOk1945 Posted May 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) The best way to avoid noise from overhead is to book a cabin that is on a deck where the deck directly above you only has cabins. You might want to check the deck plans on the Royal Caribbean website and compare the locations of Sabor Mexican Restaurant on deck 4 and the cabins on deck 3. This link should take you directly to the deck plans on Liberty of the Seas. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/ship/decks/deck/home.do?shipCode=LB Edited May 11, 2016 by JimAOk1945
Galleon1234 Posted May 11, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted May 11, 2016 I was actually looking at a forward cabin on deck 6. I thought from the deck plans it was over the Spynx? So really confused now...:)

WisconsinFan Posted May 11, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 11, 2016 On deck 5 at the location where Sabor is at on 4 would be the Hoof and Claw Bar and the Promenade Shops. Noise should not be much of a problem. The bar is pretty low key. It has Derek Lewis performing his "Adult Daycare" karaoke comedy show 4 or 5 nights a week. A must see at least for one night. WisconsinFan Posted May 11, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 11, 2016 Sorry didn't catch the cabin number in the previous post. 6125 is above the Star Lounge, no noise problems.
Galleon1234 Posted May 11, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted May 11, 2016 Sphynx lounge says they play country music and dancing. So, being in a cabin above that would not be noisy in your opinion? Thanks:)
39august Posted May 11, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 11, 2016 If you are above the Star Lounge, there will be noise while bands are playing in the lounge. And that is almost every night with different kinds of music. Usually the music is over by 10:30 PM, but there can be a couple of later shows. Why not get a cabin that is NOT above a performance venue?

Thanks:) Sphinx lounge was renamed during the drydock. It is now the Star Lounge.
