Sailing on Allure 9/25/16 - FLL Questions

Hello all!

We will be sailing on the Allure In September out of FLL. This will be a first for us since we have only sailed on freedom class out of Canaveral.

 

We are looking to stay in the Crown Plaza Airport/ Cruise port.

Any recommendations for dinner around that area?

 

I was also curious if there are any bars/restaurants where you can watch the sail-always on Saturday? (Similar to Fishlips in Canaveral).

Unfortunately, Port Everglades is not set up similar to Port Canaveral and there are no bars or restaurants on the channel with views of the ships leaving.

We have stayed at the Crown Plaza Airport/ Cruise Hotel many times. We usually walk to Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. It's about a two minute walk. It's kind of a sports bar/restaurant.

 

It gets crowded as the evening goes on but we like the food.

Consider staying near the drawbridge- we like Hyatt Pier 66. At the top of the tower, there are great views of the port and you can see all the cruise ships leaving the day before. The morning of the cruise, we like to get up early and walk across the drawbridge; it's fun to see all the ships in port! Lots of places to eat within walking distance, too.
