Has anyone stayed in this room lately?

The S class room thread last report was of the silhouette and it was all over. One being quiet and one being s freight train with built in bell tower

Was hoping for some first hand experience.

If the noise from the ices view cafe was as bad as some report. Wouldn't celebrity have an entire floor of pissed off and sleepless people every night ? Even if some are heavier sleepers then others.

Thanks in advance for your experiences

Sailed on Equinox last week in 2133 sky suite, there was rumberling from carts being rolled overhead, low level and it didn't bother us, was only for a short time after about 7 in the morning and then on odd occasions during the day. When we were in the buffet the only thing we could think that caused it was the full carts of plates being taken back to the galley.

What we really didn't like was the overhang on the balcony, it made it feel very enclosed you eventually saw some sun if the sun set on on right side.

Hope this helps

Nothing jarring and no banging and crashing, the low rumbles really did not disturb us, it infact they were quite handy to work out the time in the mornings as once we heard one we knew it was probably around 7.

Nothing ever made us jump or feel on edge.

If you're happy with the overhang then I can recommend the cabin, at home we live in a quiet area with no traffic noise and the rumbles didn't disturb us one bit, although someone further towards the back did say they thought it was very noisy, I can only assume they were nearer one of the doors at the back of the buffet.

  • 5 years later...

Any of the SS's nearer to the entries of OVC are quieter than those toward the rear doors of OVC.  That is because the closer to the entry, the more of the floor is carpeted, and the further you go toward the back, the more the floors are tile. In fact I have seen that the first 5-6 SS's on each side of S class ships deck 12  will be classified as Aqua Sky Suites, and be higher priced than those further back when all the S class ships new schedules will be rolled out.
