If you pay for a Haven, you will get the promotions at the time you book. If you upgrade, you are likely going to keep the promotions you have now. In a courtyard balcony, there is no additional freebies other than the promotions you get with your booking. You have access to all of the Haven facilities. You have a butler and concierge to assist you with you needs.

Hidden away at the top of the ship is The Haven by Norwegian™, home to our most luxurious, well-appointed and spacious accommodations. Not only will you have access to all the ship has to offer, you’ll enjoy the personal service of a concierge and 24-hour butler throughout your entire stay. On top of that, complete privacy and tranquility are just steps away on a sundeck reserved exclusively for guests of The Haven. From embarkation to debarkation, boarding of tenders to shore, onboard entertainment to dining times you will have priority. In your own ship within a ship, the haven will make for a unique experience you’ll never forget. When you stay in The Haven, you'll have additional private dining options available to you beyond the main dining rooms and specialty restaurants on board. Enjoy an exclusive array of dishes for breakfast and lunch in a private restaurant. If you prefer to order from The Haven's special menu, your butler can serve your meal in the privacy of your suite.

Your Daily Service Charge increases when in the Haven. The butler isn't included in the DSC so you will have to tip above that based on services rendered. So you need to factor those fees into your equation.

The concierge is not included either....something else to budget for.

Our favorite perks are: breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Haven restaurant, being escorted on the ship embarkation day (bypassing the lines), being escorted off the ship in ports, and when you disembark, and if you have a tender port, if the line is long to get a tender, you can bypass that and get right on!

Having the private lounge is nice, since bars in the public areas tend to be crowded, and having the pool and hot tubs were great.
