thistimeplease Posted May 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2016 We are going on the BA in July and do expect large crowds. I am wondering if I should try and get Vibe passes for this cruise but also wonder if it will be worth it as we are headed to Bermuda. Not sure if I should even bother since we plan on doing as much as we can in Bermuda. Also, how crowded does H2O get during the sea days? Thanks for the advice in advance. Son of a son of a ... Posted May 31, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Unless you are getting a shaded cabana, there is only so much sun you can take for seven days straight!
LrgPizza Posted May 31, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2016 We were just in Vibe last week on Escape, and although we absolutely loved it, we've already decided we probably won't do it again on our next cruise, Breakaway to Bermuda. We just don't think we'd get the value from it, since we plan to be off the ship so much.

Rare grouchomarx Posted May 31, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Unless you are getting a shaded cabana, there is only so much sun you can take for seven days straight! Actually the cabanas provide little shade and are in the sun much of the time, the tops are not adjustable (we had one and couldn't use it much for this reason). The umbrellas around the loungers in Vibe can be moved by staff to keep you shaded all the time, much nicer. If you're spending all your time in Bermuda you might not be using it much, but it's relatively inexpensive and you might not find much competition for getting the passes. Although, who really knows. They are open into the evening so you might enjoy a drink in the hot tub after a day on the island. I say go for it! For $79 per person it's a nice private getaway, with no kids. Did I say no kids? LrgPizza Posted May 31, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Your on ship as much as off sailing to Bermuda and back Sure, so that's like 50%. We were barely off the ship at all on our Eastern Caribbean cruise, so we got way more time/use out of Vibe. It's just personal preference. thistimeplease Posted June 1, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted June 1, 2016 Thank you so much for the responses as they are very helpful. I think we will try to get the passes and see what happens. Coming back after a day at the beach and having a drink in the hot tub sounds wonderful.
pe4all Posted June 1, 2016 #10 Share Posted June 1, 2016 I would definitely go for the Vibe passes if you are cruising in July. The number of kids on board will be crazy high, and with the pools being kind of small, it will be nice to have a "private" area to go to. We have done Vibe on BA, GA, Epic, and not regretted it. (though Epic's Vibe was not as nice as the BA and GA.) Personally, I love the shower area, and frequently went there to cool off. Also, having uncrowded hottubs and bar areas are great. BreeYark Posted June 1, 2016 #11 Share Posted June 1, 2016 From my experience on the Getaway, Vibe never gets crowded. I really enjoyed having a place away from the crowds and the kids when I got back from my excursions. But I ended up spending most sea day afternoons on the Waterfront instead of Vibe, to keep away from the sun and the wind that are hard to get away from in Vibe. AndyCapn Posted June 1, 2016 #12 Share Posted June 1, 2016 The only good thing about a lot of kids being on the ship means that maybe there'll be less people using Spice H20. But Vibe is still superior and well worth the $99 to have a guaranteed place to rest outdoors for the week. We really love the cabana just to have our own private place, but it's harder to justify at $329. The $100 food and beverage credit doesn't mean as much if you have the UBP. Stress Posted June 7, 2016 #13 Share Posted June 7, 2016 Just off the Breakaway and managed to snag the last 2 Vibe spots - 69 & 70 - we got to the pier at 9:30 and was in group 5 for boarding but you have to wait for the casino group and others first. All of the cabanas were sold out to a mystery person because we were up there all week and never saw any of the cabanas being used. If you can get the Vibe, I highly recommend it because they put the smallest pool on a ship for over 4,000 people that I have ever seen! There were constantly crowded hot tubs by the main pool but in the Vibe area it was very comfortable and relaxing!
