rosebuds Posted June 1, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) I've copied my post from earlier this year. We used an eight person minibus, but they have prices for four passengers. I really enjoyed this trip, (wear an extra layer if you go, it can get windy in places):- We used Madeira Island Taxis a few weeks ago and had a wonderful half day. We took the tour to Nun's Valley, Eira do Serrado and Camara de lobos. Our driver Manuel was an excellent guide. http://www.madeira-island-taxis.com/...xcursions.html Edited June 1, 2016 by rosebuds

rosebuds Posted June 1, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2016 Thank you both so much for your replies. Can you give me an idea of price please. Were you tours full days or half day. Thanks again Lou Hi, our half-day tour is 65 euro for 4, or 80 for 8. There are other options available. Hopefully this more up-to-date link should work: http://www.madeira-island-taxis.com/Madeira-Shore-Excursions.html

Hi kazu, I'm looking at Daniels tours for this October, can I ask which one you did? I only want a 4-5 hour tour as we depart at 1700, & I like to be back in plenty of time. We did the amazing nuns valley trip last year through happytours, very good & very reasonable. (although my husband was a nervous wreck at the sheer mountain drops & cliff edge roads!) caroline135 Posted August 12, 2016 #11 Share Posted August 12, 2016 In fact, I posted above we depart at 1700 .....its actually 1500! [emoji35] Not happy, my over cautious nature will mean I'll want to be back at port for 1330-1400 ish [emoji53] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
aquilegia Posted August 12, 2016 #12 Share Posted August 12, 2016 I don't know when your cruise is but Madeira including Funchal, has been badly affected by forest fires recently. I believe some port calls there have been cancelled.
