Pacific Princess Noise

DW and I have booked stateroom 8044 on deck 8. This is under the aft area of deck 9 pool deck. Has anyone had a mini suite in that area and is there a noise issue when in the cabin, say when deck 9 is cleaned at night ?.

We have >200 days in 8048 or 8051 on the Pacific or Ocean (Tahitian) Princess. Rarely were we bothered by noise from deck 9 and then only for a brief interval. You are more apt to be bothered by late night conversations as passengers get off the elevator.

Your cabin is a great location, close to the aft elevator/stairwell; convenient for buffet and dining room.

Not that exact cabin, but in the area, not a problem.

Pacific may be the one ship were being under such an area isn't a big problem.

Love that ship, by far my favourite.

We spent two weeks in 8064 and never heard anything from above.

This is good to know, we are in 8067 June 2017 and I was worried about noise from the Horizon Court above. We normally sail midship, this is the first aft OS for us, are there lots of vibrations?

Spent 14 days in 8001, a little farther forward than you. But LOVED the ship and the quiet location! By far, our favorite ship and experience. Of course, part of that was probably due to it being "thee" 50th Anniversary Sailing on December 3, 2015, with all the special festivities, "Love Boat" cast, etc.

We had 8067 on Ocean Princess on the Caribbean Connoisseur and noise was not an issue, but vibration, which is something common to all the 'R' class ships at speed was very noticeable on those overnight passages where the ship needed to make around 20knots. Not a big issue and we soon got used to it and it was much less noticeable on nights where he was able to go much slower, but it was a surprise the first night at sea when the ship was speeding south from Fort Lauderdale and a bowl off fruit 'walked' across the dining table and fell onto the floor in the middle of the night.

Lovely OS and, whilst some folks may point out the balconies on the lower deck are bigger, ignore them. The balcony on 8067 is absolutely enormous and one evening we had a great sailaway party. Also, although there is a public area above, the angle of the stern is such that, while you can stand at the rail you can look up and talk to people, they cannot see into your balcony.
