Canada - New England cruise NCL DAWN

 

I need some enlightenment about how others have fared disembarking the

Dawn in Boston @ around 8 AM and taking an 11:20 AM flight at Boston's

Logan Airport.

 

PLUS's ---

In a suite ---

Concierge escort off ship ---

Can do a walk off with baggage ---

Have all the priority TSA Pre check Global Entry - Business Class fare ---

Understand we clear CBI at Bar Harbor.

 

MINUS's ---

Ship does not dock on time - early OK late makes this difficult.

 

Comments on the history of the cruise ship arriving on time or early ?????

Any qlitches or unexpected events -FOG- accident in tunnel to airport ?

 

While this is less than 3 hours it should be doable -

Plan on 1 hour from port to airport and a 1 an half hour window to check in leaving about little less

than an hour to be at the gate and boarding.

Next option is a flight 4 hours later and 300-400 $s more (Friday afternoon business flights) !

 

Yeah I know this violates every comment I have made previously on CC.

 

Any one with success ? -OR- Big bad gross planning ?

Consider a water taxi from the Harbor to Logan Airport. Google it!

I can't say about the debarcation process but the trip to Logan shouldn't be bad, you will be going the opposite direction of the traffic, you can also do the water taxi as the previous poster mentioned. Depending on the airline checking bags can take a while at Logan.

It will be no problem if you do self walk-off. This is kinda a one-off cruise, but the ship should arrive in Boston well before the advertised arrival time. And it is a quick trip to Logan.
