Any Tips for our Ports.

Recommended Posts

We are headed to Gr Turk on our next cruise. As THATONEGUYYOUKNOW said, it has an awesome easy walk to beach & huge pool at Margaritaville.

Aruba- we just did a bus tour organized by a roll call member. But I think the bus tour is something you can easily get once you're there.

I've never been to Curaco, so no help there.

Try the ports of call boards- many reviews & helpful info.

Margaritaville is very expenses. Beers are $8 and drinks $12 and up. You have free food 200 yards away, why would you pay $50 for lunch? While still packed, we found Jack's Shack a little less expensive and more laid back

Just returned from those three ports! We LOVED Irie Tours in Curacao (google it...great company). I agree with "thatoneguyyouknow" about the Margaritaville in Grand Turk. The pool and beach area is entertainment in and of itself. However, they have stopped offering the $50 deal. We took advantage of it last August, but found it was not available anymore when we were there in April. In Aruba, we took the bus to Eagle Beach during the day and then did a sunset sail that evening. It was lots of fun!

I like to walk down the beach a bit away from M-ville and the crowds and rocky beach area next to the pier in GT. There are several vendor's offering lounges, umbrella's and island food like mild jerk chicken and the beach gets real sandy too.

In Aruba, just hop a bus or a taxi to either Eagle or Palm Beach.

In Curacao you can cab it to a beach, some are close to the port, or take a shuttle boat excursion.

Grand turk is a pretty nice beach just off the ship. There is a Margaritaville right there as well that offers a $50 dollar lunch and unlimited drink package if thats your thing. They have cabanas for rent as well not sure on the price of those

That $50 deal at Margaritaville has been discontinued.

We were able to walk around Curaçao at night and it was great! We walked around the fort to the floating bridge which was all lit up with multi-colored lights. Strolled along the restaurant row till we found a table right on the water for a couple drinks. The bridge had floated out so you couldn't cross back so we took the ferry over. The ship looked incredible at night! Just another option if you are in port at night[emoji3]
