Sorry I'm not answering your question exactly as asked, but the one I would drop is Le Bistro. That's because of the location. Those other 3 have the waterfront, which is wonderful, but Le Bistro is in a loud, busy atrium area. Plus, the inside portion of Le Bistro is extremely cramped. And while I didn't have this problem, there have been complaints of cigarette stench from the casino, which is directly above in the open atrium.

Hey... surprised to see you on NCL :-) We "jumped" a couple of years ago.... welcome aboard ;-)

We actually don't like the new Le Bistro menus on the Escape (soon to be deployed fleetwide). We have been on the Escape twice and got 2 platinum meals on each. We tried Le Bistro again last month and cancelled our second Le Bistro reservation and booked at Cucinna. We've eaten at Bistro for years, but given the choice, would vote it off the island now.

Flavor wise La Cucina had the most bland food of the ones listed. We thought the seating was fine on the Getaway.

Cagneys food was fine but my steak was too undercooked. Could've sent it back, but it wasn't worth the trouble.

Moderno's has some good meat, and some that's just ordinary. The salad bar was my wifes favorite.

Le Bistro was also pretty good, although the wife thought things were a bit salty.

Overall I wouldn't give any of them high marks on anything. Every Specialty Dinning meal had parts that were good and bad.

Hate to say it but O'Sheann's had some pretty good food. We had the Thai and TX BBQ wings as well as Fish N Chips and a Rueben. The fish n chips were just okay, but the others were really good especially the Rueben.

Flamingo grill has some nice offerings as well.

Our going in expectations are that for one, it's a cruise. You're not going to get 4* food every meal. 2nd every menu only has some things that appeal to all. We don't go to dinner thinking we're going to be blown away every time. Has never happened on any cruise.

I'd rather eat breakfast at one of our 2 local restaurants we have in town. For lunch I'd prefer the varieties on a cruise ship. For dinner it's a toss up as to whether I'd rather eat locally or on a cruise ship.

JMO of course but the wife and I always thought Sabatini's on Princess was the best Italian food we've tasted. Granted we live in the states so we're limited to places here we've been to.

Wow! Hi Doris! You're not nearly as surprised as I am to see you here. I had no idea you jumped from RCI. We had a bad taste in our mouth for a long time after some bad NCL experiences but finally tried again on Escape. We'll never book anything older than the "Aways," but we are certain to book NCL's new ships again.

My DH and I sailed on the breakaway last year- we loved Le Bistro and hated La Cucina- I did not even finish my meal. The waiter could see our displeasure and did not charge us for our drinks. We also enjoyed Cagneys. We were somewhat dissapointed with Teppanyaki. Our chef was miserable and commented several times that he did not want to be cooking. The food was just okay and the "show" portion does not compare to that of a hibachi restaurant on land (to be fair- no fire at sea does take away from the "show"). We are sailing on the Escape this summer and will definitely skip La Cucina and most likely Teppanyaki this time.

You don't have OCEAN BLUE listed, but that's the one I'd drop.

Wow, that was my favorite by far of the restaurants I tried on the Breakaway.

Le Bistro and Moderno were good, Taste/Savor were nice, Manhattan Dining Room was a bit "off" for service and too noisy, noodle bar was fun but not fantastic, Uptown Grill had very nice burgers, O'Sheehan's definitely pleased, the buffet was the buffet, what do you want.

Ocean Blue was an experience to remember. :)

Just off the BA today - Modernos would be the first to go. The salad bar does not have the variety it once did and the meat is highly salted and over cooked. Felt the same way about Moderno on the Escape in February. Love sushi but not sure it's a Brazilian steakhouse tradition.

La Cucina is a close second - the bread should not be the best part of the meal. I miss the three oils and the pizza. It's our cruise tradition to eat in La Cucina the first night and end the week at Cagneys. This was our first Haven cruise - we cancelled Cagneys last night and ate in the Haven Restaurant

Haven't tried Teppanyaki. Have a few locally so it's not a special event for us.

La Bistro - my lobster was delicious; DM dole was undercooked

Ocean Blue isn't as special without Geoffrey Z.

If you're on Escape, you can also use the package at Pinchos and Margaritaville, but not Food Republic. You can also use it for an upcharge Main in any complimentary dining room.

If weather is good, I would go back to La Cuchina or Ocean Blue/Bayamo on the Waterfront.

I just got off the Getaway Sunday and I'd say get rid of one of the Le Bistro, in all honesty. The food wasn't great, it was cramped, and I found the service to be slow. We could also hear what sounded like Hibachi from our seat, which was fairly odd.
