the_dylaness Posted June 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2016 Hello, We would like to do rum point and stingray city- we are a party of 6 (3 adults, 2 elementary aged children, and an almost 2 year old.) We would like to travel on a smaller boat with adequate shade and a good place to sit with the youngest one. We are considering Native Way--- but it looks like they do not have a discount or free travel for children under 2? Other suggestions?
bookbabe Posted June 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2016 I don't know that many other companies include a stop at Rum Point, I've only ever heard of it as an option on the Nativeway excursion. You could contact some of the other companies and ask...lots of useful info is in this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2356048
the_dylaness Posted October 19, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted October 19, 2016 So, we did book this excursion for 3 adults and 3 children (6, 5, almost 2.) At the last minute we decided that grandma would stay onboard with the toddler and that may have been the VERY BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. There is absolutely no way we could have kept him entertained. The boat rides (esp going out and coming back) were fairly long and the boat had large gaps between rails, just toddler sized. Nothing to eat on the boat at all, we were starving by lunch at 3pm. Waves too rough at Stingray City for toddler. He, and we, would have been miserable. I strongly recommend NOT taking your toddler on this experience.
