Victress2007 Posted June 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2016 Flag Day (and the Army's birthday) was this week. Kind of cold and blustery in Portland, Or, it's not summer yet! Maybe next week. These pictures showed me a dirty sensor, so I ordered a cleaning kit and took care of it. We don't often get thunderstorms here, but when we do they are almost always accompanied by hail. Rare pierces Posted June 20, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted June 20, 2016 (edited) A little web searching identified these clouds as cirrocumulus stratiformis which is latin for "little puffy clouds way, way up there". Or not. Anyway, I like patterns and the palms against the patterned sky took my mind off the first 100°+ day of the year...if just for a moment.
