You can't pre-fund it, in the sense that I'm sure you mean. You can purchase Cruise Cash (but remember, this is use-it or lose-it).

 

IMO ... If you need to set aside funds for your S&S and can't discipline yourself not to spend that money (meeeee!!), purchase gift cards. You can then apply them to your S&S aboard ship.

There are several options for pre-funding your ship board account. You can purchase cruise cash online or by calling. It is linked to only one cruise in a spend or lose situation. Second, you can buy Carnival gift cards online or at some local stores. This is more flexible and can be refunded to another gift card if needed. Third, you can save a few bucks a week and pay down cash once you get on board.

 

We like using a credit card for the flexibility and security.

Yes cruise cash is use it or lose it, however I've always boarded with about$500 crucash and if need be I play a little in the slots then cash out if I have extra.
