Hey folks,

I'm a newbie with a few questions and wonder if any of you lovely people can help:-

1. I see you can pre buy your on board credit, other than being able to effectively budget, what advantages/disadvantages does this have?

2. Is it better to pre-buy excursions/internet/spa services online or better to wait for any rate drops on board or does this not tend to happen?

3. Being cheeky, does anyone know what room 11120 is like in terms of balcony and space? All I know is it's a Fantasia balcony.

Thanks in advance 🙂

A: Piece of mind knowing you won't have to come out of pocket for onboard purchases,, assuming you stay within your budget.

A:Excursions, Photo Packages, Drink Packages, etc. we have always pre-purchased. Those items rarely become available at a discounted rate once you are onboard. Spa services can be had at a deal,,especially on days the ship is docked,,sometimes at a 50% savings!!

A: I'm going to let Skier52, aka: Pete answer that one. He is the stateroom expert on this board!!

Cabin 11120 is a standard balcony cabin, midship, but it does have a connecting interior door to cabin 11122. There is always the possibility that you will have noisy neighbors so if it were my cabin, I would try to change to one that is not connecting. EM

11120 is as EM says a standard balcony cabin

192 sq. ft. ( living area 168 sq. ft. ; bathroom 24 sq. ft.) Balcony 42 sq. ft.

It is in the front recess in the middle of that recess so the field of view is only limited by a small amount. And as it is on deck 11 it will only be slightly affected, if at all, by the deck 14 overhang.

I agree about the connecting door and always try to avoid them myself.

Skier52...Newbie here also. Any recommendations for a YC cabin?

Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

If you are looking at a YC 1 cabin (on Divina) my first choice would be one of the "square cabins" with the bigger balconies 15028/29/30/31 or 16032/33/34/35. But often these are sold to guests who are booking 3 or 4 to a cabin.

Then any of the side facing yC1 cabins,

Finally there are the forward facing balconies which some friends of ours had on the cruise we were on and thought it very disappointing as they couldn't really use the balcony when cruising because of the wind. they also thought the view was restricted in a downwards direction as they couldn't access the front of the balcony because of the safety rail

SEE HERE

The YC 2 cabins , there are only 3, are on deck 12 and have 'panoramic' windows and no balcony but have plenty of space

The YC 3 are the "best" according to the MSC blurb and they do have balconies. they are less square footage then the YC2
