EWR Terminals

We fly into Terminal B and other family members fly into Terminal A. We all will either get a cab to go to the hotel or call the hotel for the shuttle. Where would you suggest that we meet up after we gather our bags in order to get transportation to the hotel together. Thanks for your help.

All hotel shuttles leave from the P4 Airtrain station. In order to get there from any terminal, you take the elevator up to the Airtrain and ride to the P4 station. So if your flight arrive at a similar time, everyone can meet at P4.

If you want to pay for a cab, one group can ride the Airtrain to the other group's terminal and get a cab there.

How many people are you and what hotel are you going to?

5 of us (which means 4 females with cruise luggage ;)) and we are staying at the Renaissance on Spring Street. What would you suggest?

Your choice is "free" or not free for a hotel ride. Only your group can decide what's best. My objective is to offer you options and to alert you to the fact that at EWR, you have to get yourselves and your luggage to the P4 station on the Airtrain to get any hotel shuttle.

The Renaissance is very close, but probably an undesirable fare for any taxi because it is so close. Also don't know if 4 people and all the cruise luggage will fit in a single cab, so you might need 3 cabs from two terminals.

Here is a link to information on Newark's AirTrain. It has a map that, for me, is a great visual aid. Termial A is about a 5 minute ride to the P4 stop where hotel courtesy vans arrive.

Not sure about the shuttle for your hotel, but the Embassy Suites shuttle automatically stops there twice an hour from 6am till ??? It stops by at 15 and 45 past the hour. We didn't need to call - just waited and as scheduled it arrived.

Thanks everyone for the information. I think it is going to be pretty easy for us to meet at P4 and catch the hotel shuttle. It just doesn't seem fair to expect a taxi to take us such a short distance when they could miss out on a much longer trip.

It also may not be realistic to expect one taxi to be able to take 5 - including 4 females with cruise luggage. Most taxis only take 4 -- and maybe not even that if a fair amount of luggage accompanies.
