Basel - Taxi or Shuttle Transfer from Airport to Viking Pier?

We will be on the Viking Kvasir next month. Can anyone recommend a good taxi or shuttle company that is reasonable from the airport to the pier?

Can't refer you to a provider, but can alert you that there are three different docking locations in Basel. Make sure you have the ship's phone number.

Are you flying into Zurich or Basel? Many cruise passengers fly into Zurich as it is easier to get flights into Zurich.

This could be a problem since there is lock work being done and some boats can't get to Basel, and therefore must dock miles away. A year ago our Tauck cruise had to dock in Strasbourg because the water level was too high in Basel. Make certain you have a way to contact Viking once in europe for the exact location of the boat. Tauck always organizing transfers so we did not have an issue. None of this may impact your cruise, but you never know!

Agree with above, make sure you contact ship and stay abreast of any river level issues. We were supposed to embark in Basel and due to high water levels had to embark in Mannheim, Germany. Scenic emailed us and travel agent the day prior with options for complimentary bus transfer from either Zurich or Basel airport.
