RuthC Posted July 2, 2016 #76 Share Posted July 2, 2016 I don't mind paying as long as the value is there. But there was no value on this cruise and many O cruisers said the same thing and some even cancelled their upcoming bookings, so it wasn't just us. "No value" sums it up nicely. The value was severely lacking on Oceania. The one specialty restaurant that we LOVED was Jacques. Agreed. Food and service there was excellent. One night out of 14, though, just doesn't cut it. Not at the price point.
Rare rafinmd Posted July 3, 2016 #77 Share Posted July 3, 2016 Wow. I sure hope I'm more impressed with Seabourn. I had also been thinking that Oceania was all inclusive. Obviously not. ROy
3GrayCats Posted July 3, 2016 #78 Share Posted July 3, 2016 The RT to Australia would be most appealing. A Round trip Australia/New Zealand/ South Pacific cruise from San Diego or SF. Also, Princess is doing a RT Alaska cruise out of LA in 2018...maybe HAL could offer a similar one out of San Diego.
saltshell Posted July 3, 2016 #79 Share Posted July 3, 2016 Would love to cruise from New Orleans after a couple of days in the quarter.
Rare kazu Posted July 3, 2016 #80 Share Posted July 3, 2016 (edited) Wow. I sure hope I'm more impressed with Seabourn. I had also been thinking that Oceania was all inclusive. Obviously not. ROy I am sure you will be Roy. At least I hope so. Seabourn is a luxury line. Looking forward to hearing about it. Oceania is NOT all inclusive. Everything is charged to your account similar to HAL - but at higher prices. and yes, I tried them all ;) Going by memory here are a couple of examples: Culinary Class on HAL - $29, Oceania - $69 Master Chef Table on HAL - $89, Oceania Connoisseur dinner - $189 Edited July 3, 2016 by kazu
