Luggage transfer to ship?

We have booked a package with Cunard which includes a charter flight booked by Cunard which presumably will be full of Cunard QV passengers.

 

When you do this with P and O to Barbados you get off the plane onto a coach and go directly to the ship. The luggage is taken off the plane and goes to the ship.

On the return the luggage goes from the ship directly to the plane and you only have to check in at the airport with your hand luggage.

 

Does anyone know if this is what happens with Cunard? We are flying to Athens.

I have only done this in Rome so it may be different in Athens.

We had to collect our own luggage from the baggage carrousel and take it to a Cunard area. We didn't see it until it arrived in our cabins.

I sailed P&O in May and did not need to collec our luggage which was v convenient, last year on to Cunard sailings we had to collect luggage from the carousel and then leave it with reps in the airport concourse and the luggage followed us to the ship sometime later. We are sailing at the end of this month and this is the instructions on our Voyae Personaliser(we are flying into Venice and home from Rome)

YOU WILL BE MET AT THE AIRPORT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE ARRIVAL LOUNGE SLIDING DOORS, AT THE EXIT OF THE LUGGAGE CAROUSELS FOR YOUR TRANSFER TO THE CRUISE PORT. YOU WILL BE TRANSFERED BY SHARED VEHICLE FROM AIRPORT TO PORT. YOUR TRANSFER IS VALID ON YOUR DAY OF ARRIVAL, AND IS NON-TRANSFERABLE AND NON-REFUNDABLE. SHOULD YOU REQUIRE ANY ASSISTANCE WITH YOUR TRANSFER DURING YOUR STAY, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL REPRESENTATIVE ON 0039 041 27 27 838. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR FLIGHT DETAILS ARE COMMUNICATED TO US TO ENSURE YOU ARE MET FOR YOUR TRANSFER.

 

PORT TO AIRPORT TRANSFER

YOU WILL BE MET AT THE PORT AFTER DISEMBARKATION AND LUGGAGE COLLECTION, OUTSIDE THE CRUISE TERMINAL FOR YOUR TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT. YOU WILL BE TRANSFERED BY SHARED VEHICLE FROM PORT TO AIRPORT. YOUR TRANSFER IS VALID ON THE DAY OF DISEMBARKATION, AND IS NON-TRANSFERABLE AND NON-REFUNDABLE. SHOULD YOU REQUIRE ANY ASSISTANCE WITH YOUR TRANSFER DURING YOUR STAY, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL REPRESENTATIVE ON 0039 340 46 66 2
