ETinCA Posted July 2, 2016 #51 Share Posted July 2, 2016 I actually have a really good marketing idea to do this. Been trying to get with Carnival to make it happen.
Jenna1983 Posted July 2, 2016 #52 Share Posted July 2, 2016 Really?! I equate them to the chocolate in Advent calendars, which are essentially wax.
vwrestler171 Posted July 3, 2016 #53 Share Posted July 3, 2016 Don't raise my fare to cover your chocolates.
Sweet Dutch Girl Posted July 3, 2016 #54 Share Posted July 3, 2016 Changes...as inevitable as taxes and the Trump making a fool of himself. People tend to choose what they liked or disliked about offerings on a cruise. When the things they like disappear it's a cut back, when things they don't like change it is smart management. I will say they I can't even begin to imagine taking a cruise every year on the same line just because I want everything to be the same as it was 20 years ago...that would be like wearing the same 60s hairdo for the rest of one's life. Oh, yea, there are people that do that.
Rare Tapi Posted July 3, 2016 #55 Share Posted July 3, 2016 Mine always went straight to the trash can.
NJsharon Posted July 3, 2016 #56 Share Posted July 3, 2016 I miss the chocolate on the pillow at turndown too! Yes they weren't the best chocolate I admit. It was just a nice touch. We liked them and our twin girls loved them! They normally stole ours too. lol
sweetsixteencruisers Posted July 3, 2016 #57 Share Posted July 3, 2016 They were terrible. Maybe replace with better chocolate, Godiva perhaps.
Rare Tapi Posted July 3, 2016 #58 Share Posted July 3, 2016 Godiva perhaps. You're on a Carnival cruise.
winddawn Posted July 3, 2016 #59 Share Posted July 3, 2016 I for one would be willing to pay 1 extra dollar on my cruise fare to bring back the nightly chocolates. Carnival, that's 15 cents a night per chocolate, you can still make money. Let's see what else we can bring back, with a cost factor, and not raise the price of the cruise by more than 10.00 per person. I like salty snacks when I drink. I'd rather have those than chocolates. Carnival doesn't provide what I like, so I just bring my own. So pack a small zippy bag of Ghiradelli's chocolates in your carry on. And then enjoy cruising the jakzak10 way!
katiel53 Posted July 3, 2016 #60 Share Posted July 3, 2016 I didn't eat them. I tried once or twice and they were gross. So, it's fine with me to no longer have them.
evandbob Posted July 3, 2016 #61 Share Posted July 3, 2016 They were terrible. Maybe replace with better chocolate, Godiva perhaps. And I prefer Ghiardelli.

sgttami Posted July 3, 2016 #63 Share Posted July 3, 2016 One time I came back to the cabin after one too many cocktails and fell asleep not knowing they were on the pillow. I must have been rustling during the night and they came unwrapped and I woke up with "brown stuff" all over my face. Glad it was chocolate! They usually just collect on the dresser and I leave them at the end of the cruise.
Micahs Grandad Posted July 3, 2016 #64 Share Posted July 3, 2016 And I prefer Ghiardelli. Either would work for me:)
tigercat Posted July 3, 2016 #65 Share Posted July 3, 2016 I didn't like them and would tell them no thanks. They would end up being a pile on the desk. tigercat
Twintowngirl Posted July 3, 2016 #66 Share Posted July 3, 2016 I don't miss the chocolate at all. It wasn't very good and we usually left them piled up on a counter somewhere. Deb
JohnSpo Posted July 3, 2016 #67 Share Posted July 3, 2016 I thought the chocolates were ok but with all the food I consume on a cruise, I don't really miss them.
LaCal Posted July 4, 2016 #68 Share Posted July 4, 2016 Chocolates are back currently in Grand Suites on the Vista and will be rolling out in Sept fleetwide for suite guests Supposedly they are better quality chocolates than in the past I'll let you know after my cruise Oct 1st 😜😜

Doggielover68 Posted June 27, 2017 #70 Share Posted June 27, 2017 Never even noticed they were gone until seeing it mentioned here. We never ate them anyway. If you want candy, bring it yourself. There is plenty of food onboard. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

lasnev Posted June 27, 2017 #72 Share Posted June 27, 2017 Were the chocolates bad because they were being just piled up on the dresser and recycled for future cruisers over and over?
BTromboneFrack Posted June 28, 2017 #73 Share Posted June 28, 2017 Really liked the chocolate. It was a nice treat, but most of why I liked it was because it was something special that I didn't expect on my first few cruises. Didn't get chocolate on my Conquest cruise a few years ago, but I got the same "kick" when our room steward kept our beverages on ice throughout the cruise without us having to ask for it. That little something extra, whether it be chocolate, good service, or a very friendly staff, is what I remember.
