diane.in.ny Posted July 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2016 I'm sure the answer is somewhere on this forum but I've yet to find it so appreciate any help. We are planning on flying in a day early for our cruise but want to spend the night in Valparaiso instead of Santiago. I know the easiest and most expensive way is a taxi. I checked Gray Line and they want $252! Any other suggestions? We'll have two large suitcases and two carry-ons.
davwen81 Posted July 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2016 (edited) For that mount of money you can do a wine tour and have a drop off in Valpo!!! Or a tour round Santiago then a wine taste and time in Valpo tour. Try Pablo at Chile my way. He's on CC and TripAdvisor with very good reviews. JJean Posted July 4, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 4, 2016 There is also the local bus which leaves from downtown and is very cheap. I have read good reviews here online. They have assigned seats and store luggage under the bus.We may try it since we are spending a few nights in both cities.

roaming_kiwi58 Posted July 12, 2016 #16 Share Posted July 12, 2016 We used a taxi from Santiago Airport to the Ibis Hotel in Valparaiso pre cruise last December, via the taxi desk at the airport. It was 95,000 Chilean pesos. See earlier thread on this subject: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=48890953#post48890953
