Stayed there once last year and liked it. It's great if you want to be on Bourbon street. What amazed me is there were huge speakers blasting music outside on the side street our room was on...and yet you couldn't hear it in the room at all. It's not the modern luxury hotel Sheraton on Canal is...more of a french quarter boutique hotel. Elevators are about half the size of a normal elevator. You've got your courtyard pool...though it was closed for renovations when I was there. I'd definitely stay there again when I want to be right in the middle of the bourbon street action...now you're going to be a little over a mile from the port...as long as you're good with that, it's a good hotel.
