Anthem Entertainment Reservations

Recommended Posts

How near your departure date can you make show reservations? We are on the 09/22/2016 Anthem cruise?

There is no set time, all you can do is keep checking your Cruise Planner.

Don't stress too much about the show reservations as nothing is guaranteed until you are sitting there watching the show.

The Gift and WWRY were changed on my planner a couple weeks ago for my August cruise. Then today, I got emails telling me that Spectra was moved. I didn't like the times they gave me for the first two so I was able to change those so that they wouldn't conflict with my dinners. I left the Spectra time they chose for me, as it was one of the few later times.

Weirdly, most of the Spectra shows on Days 2-5 were moved to the middle of the popular dinner hour, either 7pm or 7:30pm. There are now two shows that are 'later', at 10:30 and 9PM. I am wondering if they are trying to get people to move out of the more popular dinner time slots.

WWRY was moved for us too and that was my thoughts exactly, forcing more people to eat at a later time slot.

The other two shows were changed from later times to 6 and 6:30pm, if I remember correctly. And my dinner reservations are for 6:45 each night.

I was going to risk standby for shows rather than change my dinner times, as there are no free dining venue times left, at all. And I'm not eating at WJ, or at 9pm

Hello there.

Entertainment reservations can be made online 90 to 60 days prior to the cruise through the Pre-Cruise Planner section of our website.

We hope this info helps!

Are you an intern or something?

I hate to tell you this but we are on the Aug 25 cruise and we still can't reserve entertainment or dining. Totally unacceptable.

We were able to make our reservations within the 90 day time frame but it didn't matter as a month later, every one was changed to a new time. Maybe they will have it figured out by the time they open up reservations for your sailing.

If they open. I'm on the same cruise, and while I'll still check every day, I'm feeling they won't open up at all at this point.

Could someone list and briefly describe the shows that need reservations on the Anthem? We are on a five day Bermuda.

We Will Rock You, The Gift, Spectra's Cabaret, and iFly and Northstar activities. You don't 'need' reservations, as you can always try standby, but to be assured of getting in, I would book these things.

Personally, I would book all dining first, and then fit entertainment around those times. If your show times get changed and conflict (as many have reported lately), I would try standby for the shows. People have said that you can usually get in to the shows if you go early for standby. Trying to book dining last minute may not always work, as many have reported being told to go to WJ or come back 'after 9pm'. Read 15 or so of the latest Anthem reviews in the member reviews section of cruise critic.

I'm also on the 9/22 sailing. All our dinner reservations are made. Booked IFly and puzzle room but not NorthStar. I keep checking daily. As for going standby, if I want to wait in lines I'll go to Disney World.

Did you book the puzzle through the Cruise Planner? I thought you had to book when onboard.

Yes I did book it through cruise planner. I was looking for NorthStar and saw it appeared on the planner. I made a reservation for my husband and I. It was only showing on the planner one day of our 9 day cruise. After we booked I asked the others in my party if they wanted to participate. Not 10 minutes later I went on to the cruise planner to book the, and it said all reservations gone but please check on the ship. This is why I'm checking everyday for NorthStar and show reservations. You never know when it will appear.

I stand pleasantly corrected. Entertainment for Aug 25th 9 day just opened up, 44 days out. Northstar still hasn't opened up, but we've got everything else reserved now.

I said to go standby for shows only if you book everything and then your showtimes get changed.

I would go standby to shows rather than give up a dining reservations because of a scheduling conflict. I had all my shows booked, and all my dining times. *Royal* changed every one of my show times a month later.

It seems like getting into shows via standby works, whereas many people are being told to use WJ or eat at 9pm if they do not have dining reservations in place.

Future Anthem cruisers............please book all dining and entertainment options even if you don't like the time. You can have them changed to a more acceptable time once on onboard. If you cruise on Anthem and do not make reservations, you will get the 9:00 plus dining and undesirable slots for I'Fly , maybe even a port day.:eek:

North star is no problem for standby.....we did it 4 times just by walking by.

I agree with Marci about keeping dining and doing standby for shows...........show up an hour early to sit together for decent seats.

I-FLY and Puzzle Break room are the hardest to get.

What is the puzzle room?

It is an adult not porn or dirty in any way, puzzle. You are locked in a room with about a dozen fellow cruisers. You have one hour to solve the puzzle by team work to unlock the door. It was a lot of fun and with many different levels of education everyone played a part in the solving. This is not to be missed.:)
