Transfer Pick Up Time

I've asked this question on my Roll Call and had no luck, so thought I'd try my 'home' board.

 

Our Koningsdam cruise ends in Civitavecchia, scheduled arrival 7.00 am. What is a reasonably safe time to arrange pick up for our transfer into Rome.

 

I assume we have to negotiate customs etc? Sorry, first Mediterranean cruise.

We have been in and out of Civit. They are used to the big ships. You can request a disembark time, so perhaps book your transfer for 0900? Should be fine.

Hopefully your luggage would be off early. With a 7am docking, one would expect disembarkation of pax to commence around 8am, so I would request a disembarkation time of 8am, gives one hour to go through the process etc. Or why not do the 'walk off', early as possible, if you can manage your own luggage.
