seemoreroyals Posted July 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2016 Has anyone done the camel ride excursion in Cabo San Lucas? We are planning on doing it on our cruise coming up at the end of December. After all how many times are you going to get a chance to ride a camel. From reading up it, the camel ride lasts about 30 minutes, comes with lunch, and is about $100 a person. Wondering if we need to book ahead of time and if it fills up quickly? Would love to hear from others who have done this what they thought about it. Any info, opinions, or suggestions would be appreciated.
CL-JW Posted July 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2016 We did this a couple of years ago. It was a fun time. The ride itself was about 30 minutes with 2 people per camel. it is about a mile loop along the beach and sand dunes. Then it is a short walk thru some cactus with some history about them. Lunch was very good as was the tequila tasting.

Glad to hear the lunch and tequila tasting was very good. Did you book this yourself or go through cruise ship?

seemoreroyals Posted August 31, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted August 31, 2016 We just went ahead and booked the camel ride / mexican lunch at Cabo. We have until two days before our cruise, leaving 12-30 to cancel, so if it is not worth the $129 per person let us know. If anyone that reads this has done this excursion please let us know of your experience whether it be good or bad.
kapoho2 Posted September 1, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 1, 2016 We did this excursionn (through the cruise line) in Feb. 2016. It was terrific and one of the most fun days ever on a cruise excursion. We learned a lot about the camels.. they seem to be very well cared for. The short desert hike was interesting. The lunch was delicious and the tequila tasting was very informative. We had a fun group at our table, so that probably helped. The guides were fun and funny. And, I love the pictures they took, although they are expensive. They prefer you do not use your own camera and we complied with this wish. HIGHLY recommend :D:D:D:D

The only thing bad I have read here or at Trip Advisor is that the pictures are expensive. Glad to hear another favorable review on the camel riding and the lunch and tequila tasting.
