CC Survey Results

Results are in. The majority of Cruise Critic posters go on cruises for the purpose of drinking bottled water and Coke. They also tend to make long lists of how much they dislike every minute they're on board.

I'm leaving on my first NCL cruise today and I already can't wait to get back and tell everybody how bad it was compared to all of the Celebrity cruises I have been on! After reading all the reviews my mind is made up and the next week on this cruise is going to be terrible and basically suck. Cheers!:D

That's hilarious!!! Sorry, I know some prefer one brand over another, but really, if you are mad because you can't bring soda on board, and have to pay for it and just want to be cheap or whatever, maybe you shouldn't be taking a cruise. Go to a resort where you can bring your own soda and water. Just my opinion.

Or rent a cottage where you have to do your own cleaning, cooking, and dishes. Oh My, no.

Nah. I think that we'll keep on cruising.

Interestingly, this same survey showed that very few CC posters had any opinions on the ports they've visited on their cruises. When asked why, responses varied. Several respondents did, however, cite reasons where other priorities precluded ever getting off the ship. Common examples were counting electrical outlets, hunting out dust under their beds, timing wi-fi speeds, queuing up at the service desk to contest fraudulent charges, asking the crew if they really got allocated tips, walking by the casino sniffing for cigarette smoke, identifying exactly what's been pulled off every menu since their last cruise, pricing the retail value of wine by the glass, and--a popular one--researching local statutes to determine if sail-away taxes on free drinks were really legal in that jurisdiction.
