Just check the cruise line webs site for any last minute offers.

Our last cruise I booked 5 days before the cruise and the price was not any cheaper than booking earlier. I think the days of the last minute deal have past. Good luck though!

In 2014 I got a great deal out of New Orleans 3 weeks before a July sailing. Then I got them to give me OBC on a price drop. I haven't seen a deal like that since on carnival but I haven't booked that last minute either. NCL had a great last min price in Jan on a 7 day cruise out of New Orleans. I saw those on the cruise line websites.

Check for Carnival "Pack & Go" rates. You pick cabin category but not actual cabin. Rates are usually pretty good except summer. Usually up to six months in advance. We've saved a bunch with them. Google for site.
