MTD wait list

Hey yall! A little Carolina lingo there. We booked a cruise on the Majesty for next month when we saw a good senior discount pop up (finally, some perks for being older than dirt!) and MTD is all booked up. We supposedly got the "last spot" on the wait list according to the RCCL rep. Does anyone have any experience with getting into MTD once on board in case our wait list does not pan out?

If this doesn't change before you board...go to the MTD dining room when you board (asap) to see if it's available...otherwise enjoy the MDR and the great price you got on your cruise :)

Yeah, that is our plan. I was just wondering if anyone had any success at getting MTD by that method when it was fully booked and wait listed. Not a huge deal, but we have become spoiled by being able to set our own schedule over the last several cruises.

Once we could not. It was on Brilliance. We did not prepay gratuities and we're assigned to a second seating large table.

We always go to MD right after boarding, and usually change to whatever we want. That time MTD was not available. We did get first seating and a table for two.
