BuckeyeMan Posted July 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2016 Just wonder with the GoBetter promotion if I would be better to go with the $150 OBC or with the prepaid tips. Obviously one would be the drink package. Was wondering about the second. Thsnks in advance.
jelayne Posted July 31, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2016 (edited) Depends on the length of the cruise & cabin category. A 10 night cruise in a veranda cabin results in $135 pp for gratuities; so $150 OBC pp is better. Yes, OBC can be used for gratuities. Formerly known as Seabee Posted July 31, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2016 Calculate what the total gratuity would be (#days X daily gratuity rate) and if it is more than $150 take the gratuities. You don't identify what the OBC is used for. It s simply deducted off your account at the end of the cruise. If you run up a $400 bill, they will deduct $150 (or whatever your OBC is) and your credit card will be charged the difference. Since gratuities are charged to your account, they will be part of your overall bill.
