Zip Lining

The ones that we've taken and looked into did all have an upper weight limit, usually 250-260 pounds. You did not mention which specific port you were talking about but if it's a Carnival sponsored excursion, you can look up it's description on the CCL web site and see what the weight limit might be.

I had to go check: our last zipline excursion was in St. Kitts and the upper weight limit was 270 lbs.

We did one in Australia where the weight limit was only 220 lbs (100 kilos).

So, before you pay anything, you best confirm the weight limit. If you are over the limit--and most excursions weigh everyone--you will not get a refund and you won't get to zipline.

When we went in the states (Catalina in CA and Alaska), the limit was 200 pounds. I think it might have something to do with the braking systems as well as the line strength. In Catalina, it had an automatic braking system - you just hung there and it braked for you. When we went in the Caribbean, we wore gloves and slowed ourselves down. The weight limit was 250 in the Caribbean.
