Love2Cruz2015 Posted August 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2016 Will the Joy be open to booking by Americans? I went to NCL website and it's not listed for choosing...is it because itineraries haven't been announced yet or is it not open for we Americans? TIA
Rare All-ready2cruise Posted August 7, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2016 Hi Love2, here is the website for the Joy info: goncl.cn. I translated the page and it appears you can book on the china site (cn). "Booking Information: Coming Soon" on ncl site https://www.ncl.com/norwegian-joy
ColinIllinois Posted August 7, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2016 Why would you think Americans wouldn't be able to sail on it?
Love2Cruz2015 Posted August 7, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted August 7, 2016 Hi Love2, here is the website for the Joy info: goncl.cn. I translated the page and it appears you can book on the china site (cn). "Booking Information: Coming Soon" on ncl site https://www.ncl.com/norwegian-joy I did some more research this morning and it seems this is heavily marketed to the chinese market, hence not even bookable on american site. Not sure I want to travel with a 99% Chinese clientele.

Gursk Posted August 7, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 7, 2016 Read that the onboard language will be Mandarin, so that might be the biggest challenge.

Lulubelle45 Posted August 8, 2016 #11 Share Posted August 8, 2016 Too bad as the ship sounds amazing!! Was hoping to sail on its inaugural sail or TA but then again, it may not be making a crossing like that based on its final destination. Being as it's geared for the Asian market, I think the food choices alone would turn me away. A meal or 2 is one thing but an entire cruise...no thanks
