Robbiesox15 Posted August 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2016 I understand there are no bed rails available for toddlers. Any suggestions on how to set up a bed so toddler doesn't fall out? Thanks!

Kerry's Girls Posted August 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2016 Roll up a beach towel or two and place them under the sheet. Some people bring pool noodles for the same purpose. Best, Mia
cb at sea Posted August 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2016 Take the mattress and put it on the floor...nowhere to fall! Tell the kid it's "adventure sleeping"..they will love it!
OzCanuck Posted August 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2016 Inflatable bed rails are great. Google "the shrunks". They work really well - have a gripper on one side that stops them from slipping out.
vickersja Posted August 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2016 (edited) Take the mattress and put it on the floor...nowhere to fall! Tell the kid it's "adventure sleeping"..they will love it! We didn't move the mattress but brought a sleeping bag and used the extra blankets in the room. Kids loved it. lucyddr Posted August 12, 2016 #7 Share Posted August 12, 2016 We have found that inflatable pool noodles are the best bet for our trips. They pack very small, come in packs of 4-6 (allows for taking a few to the beach too), and the kids never fall over them. I just tuck them under the fitted sheet or tuck a sheet around them. Weirdly enough, they don't really move. We used to travel with Shrunks travel toddler beds, but after three trips have retired them other than for camping as our twins just can't get comfortable in them...making for long nights! mdjohn5 Posted August 19, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 19, 2016 If you have a room with a couch, you can turn it around to face the wall.
