Smoking Policy on Nieuw Amsterdam to Alaska

In August 2017, we are seriously considering Nieuw Amsterdam out of Vancouver. What is the smoking policy? I hate cigarette smoke and have never smoked myself, nor does my husband. I read somewhere that some balcony cabins get smoke from a designated smoking area on the ship.

 

The smoking issue may be a deal breaker between deciding on HAL vs. Ruby Princess.

There is one thread here for smoking questions. Take a quick look, you will find it. Smoking is very controversial subject. The thread is heavily edited to take out the heated comments.

Smoking is allowed on balconies, and some veranda cabins in the vicinity of 8135 may get a little of it.
