Rare gottagocit Posted August 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2016 We are considering a voyage on the Caribbean Princess but since it only a few weeks from now there are limited cabins available. Decks 10 & 11 have an inside aft available but they're practically facing the door at the end of the hallway that leads to the outside. (B747, C745) We've sailed on another grand class ship (Diamond) but don't recall seeing those doors. Are they used often and therefore would be a noisy headache at night? Where do they go? Thanks for info you could share on these areas. Chris

They will be open during muster drill (usually), otherwise the only time you'll hear them is if/when a crew member uses it and lets it slam. There are doors aft on Riviera deck that open to the aft pool area. Love that part of the ship.
Colo Cruiser Posted August 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2016 Other then Riviera deck there are no aft doors leading outside. They are crew stairs. We stay in those areas quite often and have never heard a thing.

Rare gottagocit Posted August 14, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted August 14, 2016 That's excellent news. We've stayed in this area up on the Riviera deck and grew tired of the door slamming as people went to/from the pool area and were afraid these may also have a similar problem. Thanks for the replies. Chris

Thanks for the replies. Chris If we had issues with the doors on Riviera deck we would just request that the door closer be adjusted. ;)
