tntinftw Posted August 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2016 I've booked Carmel following our cruise in November. Will we need to cross 12th to meet the car or will it pick us up at the terminal? Thanks in advance...
njhorseman Posted August 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2016 You'll probably have to cross 12th Ave., but there have also been times when my car service has been able to pick me up directly at the cruise terminal. They seem to change the rules at a moment's notice.
sitraveler Posted August 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2016 Our trip from Staten Island took under 30 minutes, plus 20 minutes to get into the terminal from 12th Avenue. Crossing the street is faster and easier than waiting for the car service to get into the pier area.
tntinftw Posted August 24, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted August 24, 2016 Switching gears, what if we booked with the Cruise-sponsored transfer (in this case, Carnival)? Do their shuttles pick up at the terminal or will crossing 12th be necessary? Thanks in advance!

There are bus parking stalls on the ground level of the cruise terminal, and they wouldn't want to drag 40 passengers' luggage across the street.
