When do you plan on getting to Pier 88 in NYC?

I just took a closer look at my e-docs and it says that boarding starts at 12 and to arrive no earlier than 1 hour before.

But I thought I've seen other posts saying that some people were boarded earlier than 12 so I planned to arrive earlier than 11 but I don't want to get there too early and get turned away or something...

Plus we're part of the Haven crew and I thought they try to let them on first but I've also heard of crazy lines and assigned numbers that not everyone pays attention to so I'm not sure how early to arrive to get a good number or if the numbers don't even matter.

I don't need to be the first one to set foot on the ship this weekend, but I do want to avoid crazy long lines and grumpy crowds!

What do you guys think?

on our last cruise we arrived at 10:00am cause we factored in traffic that didnt happen...so we were in line for like 20 mins (security) then walked over to Haven check in and sat for an additional 15 mins..we enjoyed complimentary back and neck massages in the waiting area and once we felt rested we were asked if we were ready to start our vacation and we were escorted to our 2 bedroom villa in the Haven room 15102 Breakaway..it was that easy..

If your part of the haven it doesn't matter what time you arrive. But I wouldn't get there earlier then 11am. You will go threw security then to haven check in. After showing edocs and ID get your picture taken, they will escort you on ship to haven lounge. This usually takes place around 11:30am.

Havens boarding will start around 11:15.

General boarding starts at 11:30.

You want to be through security and checked in by 11:15. You have a private check in area, but only a couple of people checking in groups.

In all cases, you will be escorted on the ship. If you finish check after 11:15, you will be escorted to the front of the line in the terminal, but will be mixed in with other passengers trying to get up the gangway.

If you want all of the benefits of early boarding, show up at the terminal around 10:30. Get through security. Gets through check in. Enjoy a pastery and coffee. Be the first to board. Avoid the rest of us "commoners".

Once on board, you will be escorted to the Havens lounge. The Concierge will give you a quick orientation. The Havems restaurant will be open shortly for a lovely lunch. The concierge desk will help you with dinner and show reservations.
