When are guarantee cabins assigned?

Recommended Posts

I know it's not always the same, but I'm just curious as to what is the "normal" time frame that Royal Caribbean assigns their GTY cabins before sail date. We are 15days out. Thanks!!

There is no "normal". Could be anytime between now and when you arrive at the pier.

I've had one changed after I was on board the ship!

Hopefully it was an upgrade. :D

We've done a least 20 guaranty bookings and the latest we've been assigned our cabin is 3 days prior so have never found out our cabin when we've arrived at the pier.

I not saying that doesn't happen but IMO it is rarely done. By 3 days prior the cruise line should know what the availability is.

We had one of our assigned cabin change after we arrived at the ship. We were given our original assigned OV cabin but when we went to it there had been a major flood in it so were upgraded to a balcony. We did have to wait until after embarkation boarding was completed before we got that balcony which was available because of no show occupants. :D
