HAL Wine packages pricing online vs on board

Anyone who has been on board a HAL ship recently and is familiar with the wine packages. You can pre-purchase a package before leaving i.e. 7-BOTTLE NAVIGATOR'S CHOICE WINE PACKAGE for $228.25 (including the 15%) ordering online. Is this less than if purchased on board?

 

Also does HAL still sell coffee cards?

The wine packages are the same price whether you buy them onboard or before your cruise. There is no coffee card. They do have beverage cards for different amounts, but there is no financial advantage to them. For $25 you can buy a soda card which has a value of $50 for soda, just not from cans.

If you have a lot of OBC, purchase the wine package on board to use some of the excess OBC rather than putting the pre-cruise purchase on your credit card.

We would just add that purchasing a package onboard is very easy...as you can simple order a package from any of the wine stewards at the time you order a bottle of wine.
