knittinggirl Posted August 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2016 Just wondering if they allow walking sticks w/ carbide tips? I don't remember any on the Rotterdam.
donaldsc Posted August 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2016 Are you planning to use it on the ship or off the ship. I don't know but I doubt that they would let use use a tipped walking stick on the ship itself. DON
Viv0828 Posted August 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2016 (edited) We always bring folding walking sticks in case we go hiking on shore. We have never used them on the ship. Ours fold quite small so we can put them into our carry on. Neither the airlines nor the cruise lines have ever said a word. Dasbeak Posted August 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2016 Put rubber tips on them. I just bought a pack of 5 replacement tips on Amazon for 7.50. They fit all standard hiking, trekking, walking poles.

If its a spiked tip, then I doubt it, but if it is a blunt tip then there should be no problem. You may want to put a rubber tip on it if using onboard for the tile and marble decks, to give you some traction as well.
