I got the 2 last night and then 1 this morning but blocked again. Called paypal who was blocking and they did verification. Returned to Ebay and now ebay says can not provess. LOL I am determined to get more.

 

I tried to buy a Red Lobster GC through them and no luck. I got 2 last night (Carnival GC) and I am like you PatyCake, I am determined to get more. lol. I mean it's free money for crying out loud.

For paying my deposit I've texted the codes to my PVP. For making payments I've entered them online. This is going to be the first time I've used them for my onboard stuff but my understanding is we just have to get the codes to guest services to have them added to the account. It's also been said that if you want to get some of it back in cash you can do that in the casino.

However, I have seen it posted on here that people have been told that once onboard if you tell them you are using GCs to buy it, they will supposedly give you the lower price. But no one at Carnival is willing to put that in writing, so it leaves me very skeptical.

Yeah ... I thought of this last night, with my luck they wouldn't honor it once onboard regardless of who said what. I'll most likely still pre-purchase Cheers, and just put the cards on account to cover gratuities and 1st day cocktails (Galveston, lol).

 

I would still like more cards, dangit! Lol

You may want to try again. I was able to buy more today. I've also had more luck purchasing from my computer than my phone. I had to verify my account with text message codes a couple times...from my phone it wouldn't even prompt for that..it would just fail.

I had already paid off my cruise and bought cards from AARP for 10% off, hoping to pay Cheers! with them. Can't. But, could prepay gratuities. I did not want to take the chance of on board purchase of Cheers! and paying more, so prepaid it. Now, I am nervous as I have $1000. gift cards left. Though they say they can't be used at the gift shops, couldn't I just load the gift cards to my sail and sign, and ask that my credit card not be used until the gift card balance is gone? Seems like I could use them in the shops since they would be loaded to my s&s like cash? And we would be gambling some, should be able to load them to that? :eek:Leaving 09/10, nervous. I don't want to leave the cruise with gift cards. HELP:) please!:)

The gift shops is different than the Fun Shops. The Fun Shops is online where you purchase things for your cruise beforehand. Once you are on the ship, you apply them to your account just like cash. They will use those before your credit card. Hope this helps!

I got 1 card on daughter\s account and it started the same BS cycle. Even if you make it thru verification it then circles back and does the same thing. You would think they are aware of the problem. I sent several emails with no reply.

Try clearing out your cache, history, cookies and what not.

I bought one yesterday and had 6 others from PPDG. I checked my balance on all 7 5 minutes ago and they were all okay.

Mine are fine as well but if they are compromised and you are outside the dispute

Window you don't have much protection or rights. Multiple places have people posting about issues. Carnival gcs haven't been mentioned but it is always better to safe than sorry. Google Hyatt hotel gift card fraud to see how a trickle of compromised cards ballooned into a huge issue.

 

And my question was about ways to attach gcs to my cruise account pre- cruise
