Cost of drinks

Have been looking into the same thing and found this page helpful - bar menu's are about half-way down. This was from the Vista - I am guessing that the prices are the same [or at least close to the same] fleet-wide, but that may not necessarily be true ;-)

I have also seen some drink calculators that folks have created as well as this cheat-sheet.

Happy planning!

Am I correct in seeing the price listed per day for the 7 day is $37.50? I recall awhile back that they were toying with the pricing but it's no longer that cheap anymore. Instead it's $49.95pp per day plus gratuity if purchased before the cruise and $54.95pp per day if bought onboard.

If you pre-purchase the package it is $49.95 per day, plus auto-gratuities so roughly $57 per day. If you are sailing on the Sunshine out of NYC Cheers is not available until day 2, so on an 8night cruise you will only have to pay for 7 nights.

Here's some rough figures for the cost of drinks if paying a la carte.

Beers $6-8

Cocktails $8-10

Frozen Cocktails $10-12

Wine $8-12

Soda $2

Speciality Coffe $3-4

Bottled water $1.50

Powerade $3

(keep in mind if paying a la carte, you'll also have to pay a 15% auto-gratuity on each drink)

I always purchase the Cheers package, it's really not that tough to get the value out of it. If you have 5-6 alcoholic drinks per day, and take advantage of the sodas, coffees, water, and powerades now being included it's easy to get your money's worth and then some.
